Office Proceedures is a vocational course that prepares students with the basic skills and knowledge of working in a business office. Computer applications using Microsoft Office 2003, will be used throughout the course to improve students' efficiency at performing office tasks. Programs such as word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, database applications, and web design will be used to perform these various office tasks. Basic skills used in the modern office and procedures for acquiring a job will also be introduced. Students will also be required to show accountability on a daily basis, as if they were in the workforce. Valuable skills such as time management, punctuality, responsibility, and reliability will be gained through an employer/employee simulated classroom atmosphere.
